well, everyone should do that. Once you fire, miss or hit, you have to move because you just blew your cover. What makes it harder is, you shouldnt come back to the same position next round or your surely going to get killed since they already know. I always randomize camping spots but mostly overlooking similar locations. Ofcourse once youve used them all, its time to change strategies.

if all of your places have been used, go random again and start siwtching your places around, it'll keep the enmy busy while they look for you, and yet again, not everyone knows to shoot and move.

I would change strategies for a while but then go back later and still find the same people maknig similar mistakes.

What would you do if the weapon didnt have those options, like a machine gun that is always in auto, or a pistol that can only do single?

Single for assult auto for recon, and hand gun for sniper. When playing recon I always burst my auto in two-3 shots, unless its the mac 10, mac 10s are fired by the clip.

Hmm, well, put it into short bursts for auto, and fire like mad with the pistol, just like that. 8)

still do really quick clicks. On the other hand I also map a fire key on the keyboard for other uses like sniping so that I dont move the mouse at all when firing. Also, sine the keyboard can take more commands faster, it works better, but only for sniping and longrange since CQC needs quick movements of the avatar aswell.

I use single cause when you use auto or burst it runs out of ammo fast and single is funner!

And if you fire in short bursts, and not spam and happily fire away like most ididorods do, you'll be moch more accurate. Except with the M16, rarely do I use burst.

burst/auto whichever is available. single is better for sniping (yea I guess you knew that) I don't like to click on my mouse like a crazy ape just to create some rapid fire at the enemy, it's easier to shoot shoot pause (enemy pops his head out, thinking u are reloading) and then shoot again.

normally when you pause they would either throw a grenade at you of find a possible flank. Real people, especially the pros (if there are any left) arent that foolish (with exception of a few people).

It kinda depends on what environment you're in during said engagement. When the other guy is far away like what sometimes happens in dem_village, I would just switch to a slightly different position. Engagements like these usually result in the dumber guy focusing intently on where the other guy is hiding in the first place and won't move much until he gets the kill.

You can get the drop on him easily at this point just by coming out of a different spot.

lol, if someone takes cover and waits it out, I usually find an alternate route or know of an alternate route so I can sneak up and shoot him in the face.
