we can all work on this.. first lets get some users from the few of us who are willing to work on a TCE article. Plus they need to register for wikipedia accounts, I already have one.

That's funny, but how is it related to the topic?

Are you saying that I'm just beating a dead horse? :P

we are all baffled. Now, back to topic. You guys said that the threads have reached critical mass, thats kinda true for a small community. Now if were gonna clean up this forums, someone has to help me archive the interesting topics that we nolonger need lying around in the forums. After archiving the full thread discussions, we can shorten them, add a link to the compiled archive, and walla, problem solved.

Umm... I think you and I know which topics need to be erased. ;)

If you don't, then you need to kill yourself. :P

yes yes I nkow what you mean, but we wont do that. What we need to do is archive the important posts especially the popular ones into word docs or pdf made available online. The links will then replace every other post on the threads. The threads will not be deleted incase someone wants to reply to it. but the overall post count in the site will be lowered to a significant number making it easier to find stuff. As for the offtopic posts that arent used anymore, we can compile them, delete the threads, and put the links in archive.

This site needs a Garbage forum. Instead of deleting the topic in its entirity, you throw it into a garbage bin that automatically erases the thread if there isn't a post in 3 days or something like that. That way, if the dev's think it has some redeeming quality they can bring it back. If not, you can have a constant recycling of threads.

isnt that what we do in our forums? well, I guess it should be done here, but the thing is (i dont know I if should even tell you) it already is being done in TCE.us, but only to offensive posts.
