The original feel of TCE as I felt it was months ago seems to have changed alot. It seems to have be overrun by all "everyman for himself" noobness since the time most of the pros have left. I rarely see anyone I had met before, mostly just new players who, some not all, have turned TCE into an arcade shooter similar to Quake. Although they are still restricted by the limitations set in TCE, it is still like a senseless playground where a soreloser suddenly starts crying. Something has to be done about this... the games turning into something it shouldnt be, an arcade.

Dont you find complainers to be annoying when its actually their fault by running in your way midfirefight then complaining causing you to lose points and to some extent even kicked off the server for their faults. This has to be fixed, something can be done thru the game since there is nothing you can do about the noob.

Any suggestions anyone?

the best solution for this issue is
implent A training mode,

if A new fresh new player joins A server,
he will see a popup with this message:

-----------------------------------------------------
YOU HAVE TO FINNISH YOUR TRAINING FIRST
------------------------------------------------------
something like that,
new players cant join any server if they didnt finnish the training.
if they did finnish the training, it will be saved in the profile,

just like AA,
only the trainings should be way different,
TCE's training mode should be way more easier than AA's training mode,
its just let new player get used to all the keys and gameplay ect. ect.

the training should be A shooting course
Image
Image
the map should look fake, it should look like a sort of A studio,

there should be pop-ups comming outta the screen,
with commands like,

"press right mouse button to look at your iron sight"
"press X to prone" "press Q & E, to roll left and right ect. ect.

there should be commands to do all the TCe's gameplay features,
when the player succeeds to accomplish all the commands,

than the player is done with his training,
it will be saved in his profile,
than he will finally be able to get in the servers,

but i doub if we will see this in TCe.
because it requires allot of programming,
to block fresh new players tryin to join A server.

unless the devs decided to turn the players profiles
into something functional and important,

like be able to costumize things in your profile ect. ect.
http://www.truecombat.us/forums/viewtop ... sc&start=0
http://www.truecombat.us/forums/viewtop ... c&start=15

and new players have to register first before they can play TCE.

evrytime they open TCe,
they have to login,

---------------------------------------
Username:
Password:
----------------------------------------

but i doub we will see this,
its still A mod,

but if TCe ever gonna be A stand-alone game,
than they should consider to implent this idea.

I'm sure that if splashdamage had done thier SP for ET, TC:E would definitly have training.

I would like to see training maps, not neccesarily training mode, because it would be a little hard for the username and password thing. and, for example, if say a very eperienced player decides to change his name (say, admin problems on his favorite server) he would need to re-do training. and, I think that ET's current name system is good enough. if only I could count how many maps I've changed my name mid-game on...

I think that a training ground would be a good idea but not compulsory as if you went to a friend and dowloaded it for him you would have to waste time on training you could have an option in the menu like
PLAY
TRAINING
HOST

ect thend the menu would go like this;
|||||||||||||||||Movement
|||||||||||||||||Guns---------------->|HERO
|||||||||||||||||Jump & Ladders||||HARD
TRAINING---->|Interactive Objects||MEDIUM
|||||||||||||||||All------------------->|EASY

Also sorry about the '|||" it does't do spacing=]

yes but there are some people who arent really that much into serious gaming, its just go in there and say f+++ you to the first person that kills them. While some people are too lazy to finish a training mode. HAving profiles would also require TT to purchase a really big server, mor elike a supercomputer, which costs around $100,000 lowest guess.

but really,
we all should be friendly to the noobs,

we all were noobs before,
give them A chance to be better.

its not A good thing to be unfriendly with the noobs,
we should not try to make the noobs stop playing this game.

what would you rather have?
an empty server list? or A full crowded server list with allot of noobs
who you can play with,

we should be happy that there are more and more people playing TCE evryday,

its not that these people arent good with the game its just the way they play, they took their TK-ing attitudes with them from all those other games not to mention that alot of them are really sore losers and really like to complain about getting TKed just because they ran infront of you during an obvious firefight. They may be new to the game but they sure got some big ego for a head.

Hmm. Interesting.

Anyways, the general n00bishness has been widespread over all of the games I play due to the schools letting out for the holidays.

The school year is finally resuming, so that should severely cut down on their numbers.

well there goes the underage population, most of them anyway. But the servers will still be over populated with the nolonger noobs j@ck@$$es who just keep complaining for thier own faults. That part of the gameplay is just ridiculous. Maybe it just became more noticeable since the pros left to wait for .49. At least the no0bishness did cut down since the resume, hopefully it wont be that bad next time.

the game itself is waay to noob friendly, as I said before.

it seems that if you have any tactical shooter experience (SWAT series (except for the ever-sucky SWAT2) ET, to a point, tribes, again, to a point) you think that you have it figured out. I'm hoping I can get a few SWAT4 guys to come to TC:E in a while.

be friendly to noobs on a server, but make the game more difficult.

theyre the once making the game more difficult since they are the onces who keep goofing off and the onces who keep team flashing and team bleeding just so that they can get a kill, who no0bish.

Yeah, I gimp all of my team mates who dare do that, because warning them does nothing, it just provokes them to do it again.

The reason all the considered "pro's" left the game might be because of those n00b's. I'm surprised that I've put up with it for this long.

lol!!

I always get feeling that kozak wants me banned soooooo badly,
hahaha, now he's gonna collect all the post' that i posted when i whas mad,
and kozak is tryin to convince the devs i cant behave normally on this forum,

hahaha funny huh, i can read someone's mind, :roll:

(i am friendly to noobs, but if they're acting like a bitch, they wont get respect from me, cause you see, i dont respect people if they dont respect me!
thats how i am, if your hostile on me, than i will be hostile too,
what did you expect? let the person go like that and just be friendly to that person??

thats why i dont go in the main forum anymore, it seems the moderators on the main.forum cant see that im not wrong,
if the people on the main.forum behave friendly to me,
than i will be friendly to you too, but if they keep being hostile, than you cant expect from me to be friendly constantly)

at the beginnings of threads on the main forums, we were just stating our opinions and why we believe they are right, along with a little no-harm-meant teasing. (I got it for my mag clamp thread)then you flamed us, and it elevated into an argument.

but let's keep this debate for an off-topic thread, shall we?
