yall know when your using knife..

you press key Q and E
you will lean left and right
why not change the key Q function for A hand sign..
like you intimidate your oppenent by giving A "come over here" sign with the left hand..
and change the key E function to A function that make us able to trow the knife
and if you trow the knife to the victem..
and the knife will be stuck in his body, or the knife will fall down.
but your able to pull the knife out of his body,
or pick the knife from the floor

but when you trowed the knife
the previous weopon you had..
before you used knife, will switch back.
so you dont end up empty handed.

that would be freaking awesome..
and blood stains should be added on the knife each time you stabbed someone..
and the blood stains should be random..
so the blood stains, should look almost different on evry hit you made with the knife...

and we were talkin about small little tiny features right???
well why not make us whipe out the blood stain with the key R...
the reload key...

so evry time you you press R when you got blood stains on the knife...
the left hand will clean the knife on the handglove's.. like whipe the blood on evryside on the palm..
its just A extra little useless unimportant thingy,
but just see it as A extra little bonus feature.
when you probably only use it when you bored:lol:

and also what also want to note is,
is about the knife swing.

we only can swing the knife, and we cant stab straight.

ok now if you wanna stab straight
you should able to do that by just clicking right mouse button once...

wanna swing it / click right mouse button twice

wanna swing it twice / click right mouse button 3 times

it sound complex but its really easy its like A hack & slash type of thing...

your proposing something like a StarWars lightsaber "styles" feature that can be accessed by using control combos arent you? thats a good idea for the knife and other melee weapons (gun stock as cudgel), but that would still eman we need to map/program new controls and new animations for each movement (remember that everything has to be in sync or its not gonna look right).. good idea tho.

That sounds like an awful lot of work for a weapon no one ever uses.

At most, I think an ET style straight stab would be great for the secondary. Make the rate of fire much slower, more powerful, and with a significant delay before stabbing to make things more interesting. The animation is already there, so they might as well make use of it.

Look. No one ever uses the knife. The only times people use a knife is to chop up a sniper, or if you have somehow managed to squander all of your ammo and avoided picking up a single enemy weapon. If you are in a bit of a ninja mood, it might be possible to come up behind someone and take them out, but it's very risky and a bad idea when it's 10x easier to shoot them in the back of the head.

The knife is not a primary weapon. All of the features you are proposing are a hell of a lot of work for a weapon no one ever uses. Some blood on the knife after use might be nice, I will admit that, and maybe a slow delayed powerful stab using the ET animation, but that should about be the extent of it.

because knifing is fun,
evry FPS game has 1 knife movement,
if TCE had more knife movements that will distinguish they're knifing from other FPS,

and afcourse its much better if you just shoot someones head with A gun,
but its about the trill,

the idea of knifing someone stealthy, and succeed,
that gives people trills,

its like this, if you play mortal kombat,
and you won A match, you will get the 2 opportunity's,
1. do A sick fatality.
2. just let him go, or just do A normal kick to end the match,

i think most people will choose 1.

because people love it when they do something that requires allot of skills,
rather than just shoot someone in the head,

get the hole point?

No, that isn't a valid analogy.

In Mortal Kombat, when you are given the chance to do a fatality, you have already won the match. No matter what you do, you can't lose at that point. And, a fatality isn't necessarily a show of skill. All it means is that you memorized a few button presses and the distance needed to execute it.

In TCE, if you run up to someone with a knife, unless you sneak up silently from behind, you stand a very good chance of dying.

It's not worth losing the match just to try to knife someone, so nobody is going to do that with the exception of knifing snipers or AFK players.

my idea of more knife features isnt ment for using it as A replacement for riffles and pistols,

it whas ment for stealth actions,

exactly...
when your sneaking behind your enemy's back, you know its victory,
you know he is gonna be killed, unless your a lame dumb tardy player, who cant even kill A enemy from behind.

and you have to be honest, doesnt it feel good when you succeed to kill a enemy with A knife?

when you killed someone with a knife, the reaction from that person you killed is always: NICE KNIFING/NICE ect ect.
or sometimes they're mad, because they're quite ashamed that they're
killed by A knife, especially if A pro TCE player get killed by a knife,
and thats really fun
because you actually kind of insult them,
in A friendly way,

and when you killed someone with A gun, you usually get no reaction,
because evryone can kill enemy's from behind with a gun,

the hole point of this knifing idea is actually for skilled players,
so skilled players can do some kick ass things that new players cant.

I dont need to knife a sniper, since I am one myself, I can just use countersniper tactics. Its sniper versus sniper, faster shooter wins. thats where my SPR comes in.

Knife battles are easy. I remember playing an ET level where only knives were used and some syringe that drounds you when your stabbed with it. You could also throw the knives...

Edit:
The throwing knives idea is going to be another Dragonathon topic soon now that I brought that up. :D

I'm a smartass, ignore me Dragon. ;)

Yeah, I'll remember that.
