TCE isn't a true realism game. There are far too many aspects of it that make it arcadish as well. TCE does not claim to be a realism game. It claims to have realistic aspects to it (while not making it too realistic to take away the fun aspect).

So CTF would be possible gametype in TCE. However, I think the player movement is too slow to make CTF even enjoyable IMO. It would take the whole 15 mins of a standard game just to get into your enemy base and then capture the flag.

IMO TCE is sort of boring. It's really fun for me at first, but it's appeal dies shortly after. I'm sort of glad CTF isn't a part of it, because with TCE's "feel" it would just ruin it.

True Combat has CTF in it - and that is the real TC - so just play that if you want CTF Hobo... and play TCE if you want Mission.

P.S. It was such a horrid idea for them to name it after TC because it doesn't claim to be TC - or a continuation of. :roll:

well, you proved me wrong. but, instead of a regular CTF where your really after a flag. why not use the rules, with the time limit, but instead of flags, maybe an objective, liek a hostage, or hostages, or an important briefcase or something similar. just to keep things looking realistic.

if by anychance, would the devs rename this mod to something else?

that sort of thing exactly, but i meant, a mission where the objective has to be held until the end of a round to win. That way both sides will continously fight over that single objective like tug-o-war, or otherwise known as CTF-like. its like, hold the objective, survive with the objective until time runs out or the other team is killed. these same objectives for both sides. maybe we could comeup with a situation that actualy does this.

cause 3 life just....is...awesome....you have more than ne mistake if u die by luck, but u have few enough lives to value ures :) and there is less camp than 1life

fly- you are aware that there is more than one person that posts on thsi forum?

therefore you must also be aware that the different people that post MAY have different opinons?

so it might be posssible that some people want super realism, and some want ctf? ..

UrbanTerror had C&H. Capture and Hold. Same as mentioned before. There would be several flags around a map and each team had to control the most to win. There are other possibilities but more objectives would be better than point and shoot.

Have you heard anythnig from UrbanTerror, I think they mentioned before that tehy will make a version of Urban Terror for ET. at least thats what I read somewhere.
