you mean escort a captured comrade back as the specops wont be holding hostages, its like against the whole idea of counter terrorism. but its all okay, have a multiple objective game is better than one that ends after a crate is blown.

I think for a mission like that we need a method of capture, maybe a stungun or a tranq gun with limited ammo and a really high power scope (the scope makes it hard to use at CQB).

that's it!! guys protect a sniper with a powerful ass scope, and he has to take out a certain person!!
but you have to consider the following: the sniper would need at least a pistol (a reason to keep the mp5)
the guy you have to kill could be anywhere and must so be confined to a certain space, (or else you could set the sniper a few chosen points where he can snipe.)
people WILL need to protect him, and so inspires teamwork.

Action Quake 2 had a gametype where you were the president, your team were secret service and they had to keep you alive for x amount of time.
The opposing team was, of course chopping away at the pres and company.

CTF does seem too fast for this mod. 5 flag C&H still sounds like fun.

well, they mentioned that the new map scale 2cm per map unit compared to the old scale will make players seem to be moving faster. They also mentioned that the maps are all interchangeable for each gametype so there are really no worries about speed. I expect CTF to be alot better than the senseless idea of BC. Pehaps this CTF will be something new, instead of all out and running around while shooting, this CTF will be more stealthy and lethal, where you have to sneak in to get the flag and sneak out to bring it back home.

btw if you guys wana play kickass ctf play unreal tournament. it doesnt matter if you're playing the original, or ut2004, or ut2007(coming out in a few months!!!!!!!!!), the gameplay is staggeringly awesome and kicks all ass. quake 3 step aside.

lol. in someway you can do that, but in reality you wont be any dangerous to anyone. The CTF for TCE will probably like an objective tug of war rather than a bunnyhopping flagrobbing gunslinging mess portrayed in other teamfortress like games.
