Hey im just curious of the poly count for most of the weapon models you guys got so far. Im a 3d Modeller myself so im just curious :P

The old poly limit was 1200-1500 tris and the new poly limit is about 2600 - 3000.

"Better" is pretty general... It means that the models can be a lot more detailed, but not that they look 2 times better, since a polygon can be either really tiny or really big.
So indeed you can add smoother curves, extra levers, and so and so forth.

I was gonna say those models look pretty high poly. If you guys ever need another weapons modeller just give me a shout and i will show you some of my work. All my work is mostly under 2000 polys and is still nice stuff.

Would you like your weapons to have 128-bit component anechoically sampled sounds from the actual weapons? 256-bit resolution component reverb based on the actual map architecture and surface material?

I doubt it but I just thought I'd ask...
