Talk about the US military going way overboard with the video game industry as a PR tool. This is just getting ridiculous. Later we will eventually see other armies getting thier own games and competing. (Australia's airforce already has ADF Aviator).

Now wait, it says it's like a full version on this site and all I can get is demo's -.-

And yeah, not the best graphics in the world, but hey it's not the worst either, I think I'll give it a try though it probably won't beat AA. Looks interesting enough, I'd like to see a remake of AA's Bridge on the Golden Gate, that sounds like fun to me.

Lol.

Well, it is a full version and a demo at the same time. The demo they are refering to is the commercial version Prism Threat Level Red. The full free version is the Un National Guard's Prism Guard Shield which is the same game with slightly different content.

It should be good, but I wont be able to test it anytime soon so I'll take your words for it. (got exams soon, girl, so and so). Tell me how it turns out. (I do know that the controls could suck so that may need remapping)

We clean up the forums after I get back.

Ehh, I got it last night, it's ok. Kind of tough to get used to the weapons, the sway of the gun is massive and it's hard to hit anything. Graphics are actully better than I figured. But gameplay just isn't the best just yet, I suppose give it some time and let it build it'll get better. It kind of reminded me of Rainbow 6, Lockdown.

Thats good to hear. It will not ofcourse be any better then AA whnen it comes to simulating proper tactics but it should prove to be an alternative. Since it is still in beta we really cant judge it compared to AA yet. Give it a year.

I still got other things in mind

so I really can't test it out just yet - maybe around the weekend. Once I do get in maybe we could set up a match.

I'll take a look after I get linux put on this computer, then d/l it on the other one.

**random fact**

/me hopes that after he installs he can get TC:E on his laptop.

anyhoo, I'm just waiting for the secret service simulation game to come out.

Well it deffinately cannot be compared to AA. It has a long way to go to be realistic, so AA is by far still better. Also Prism Has this more of a SWAT team feel than a military feel.

Unfortunately not many people have heard of it yet to a point that multiplayer isnt accessible at this time. No servers.

Hmm
Interesting
I looked for the commercial version and couldn't find anything.
Anyone registered on their site can give an idea on the updates they are doing? and specs?

Think Doom3 specs. DX8 cards I think. The effects are not bad, gameplay is like SpliterCell and Rainbow6 put together. It still has quiet a number of serious bugs as it is the first public beta version of the game.

PRISM Threat level Red is expected to be out in 2007, but Im not sure when. PRISM Guard Shiel will be a free version of the game though used by the National Guard as a recruiting tool, much like AA to the army but not exactly.

AI is kinda crappy and there are no multiplayer servers most of the time. I guess giving this one a couple more months or maybe even until next year to fix itself up and grow a larger community till we can really judge how good it is.
