Yea, one team with good communication (ie Teamspeak, etc) could demolish ANY team with no communication.

camping is only good for defence, camping on offence is just cheap. both ways its effective tho

I dunno, if someone keeps rushing through the same door to kill you every round why even bother trying to run out? Then again, some people feel guilty about bug zappers. :)

Theres good camping and bad camping. Some people camp not to help the team, they just want a high score. Most of the time camping ruins the game, people just sit there and snipe instead of planting the bomb.

Its very rare that camping helps the game (atleast in my experience). Yes i dont like excessive campers, but its part of the game so dont bitch about it.

camp only when you are meant to. camping should only be used when in defensive mode, like escorting vip(high place with sniper rifle or smth), in bomb defusal(any weapon will do), or providing supressive fire/waiting for teammates/no0bin. dont camp when you're on offense, like in bodycount, where alot of *I <3 the cawk* hold up chokepoints and then they get r93 n spetsnaz and you're stuck with a *i-need-a-broader-vocab* m16. i hate campers anyhow, and even if they move around from time to time its still called camping. in reallife i would most definitely never camp. "cowardice"

yea, i see that crap al the time on some of the beach servers in rtcw i frequent. panzer whores- spawn killin. i told the guy flat out, the team owns him in real gameplay. he did nothing but spawn kill with a panz, and died horribly when any other part of the game besides spawn was involved.

im fed up with the word "campin", as much as "gun". someone like that spawn killa, shure, no skilled lamer, but consider this...

old quake 3 days, freeze tag with hook enabled... uve got 95 % or the enemy team frozen in one room. other teamates roaming for the remaining enemy teammates. one or more guarding that pack of frozen enemy is an tactical atvantage. most likely, the enemy will loose.

now noobers, and many seasoned regulars wined "campers", when i saw it as holding that atvantage. yes, theres something to roaming for those other teammates, rather guarding the pack, but hey, holding that spot was a win win situation. the remaining enemy is left to hunt you, or wait it out possibly til time limit, if they were never found...

tactical atvantage, vrs someone with redundant ( lack of )game "play".

i agree, ppl b*tch too much, rather deal with the problem sometimes...
glad theres a mute vote! =)

greetz!

yeah :P muting people is actually more satisfying than kicking them ( kicking doenst work no, dunno why?). nothing is better than having the muted guy watch in horror and frantcially try to type NO!!!!NO!!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO! as some dumb specop runs into a room full of terrorists.vengance is sweet... getting even is divine.

Camping (as in sitting in one spot) is part of a good strategy. Covering pathways, laying down cover fire, all good tactics.

Now OTOH, *spawn* camping sucks. That takes no skill, and really chaps my britches! Yeah, yeah, we got what, 2 or 3 seconds of spawn protection? Whatever. With the fire mode bug, it takes me at least that long to get that sorted out and ready to fight. So I get hit from some lamerz sniper rifle before I even get a chance to look around.

Or how about those turds that prone behind the damn spawn point?! You start to run and BAM! Dead.

I don't mind folks watching the spawn exits, but there's a fine line between covering and just lame gameplay. Take Railhouse for instance. The spec-ops can get bottled up by a decent terrorists team because they have only two exits. Combine that with some inexperienced spec-ops (who don't know how/where to smoke and flash) and it becomes a lame camp fest. It makes it very difficult for a single player to get out alive, regardless of their skill.

So IMHO, camping is fine. *Spawn* camping is for the unskilled n00bs.
But such is the downfall of BC. That's why OBJ will always be superior in my book.

I like trying to get out of those genocides by the terrorist in Railhouse, thats why i like BC

Are there any US servers that run OBJ that always have people in them? I only see mainly 1, sometimes 2 US servers that always have people in them but they are both BC. <TCF> used to run an OBJ server that always had people in there all the time back in the day, then it just died. So i started playing BC, which gets old, and is almost completely boring now. I cant wait for the VIP mode and some other modes.

Our server is obj, its new and hopefully will get more ppl in them. we usually fill it in then evenings..

plus, remove enemy access to possible spawncamping areas, like stairs and ladders should be within allied territory (inside the spawnrooms) so that they would be used as a defensive strategy.

I like Bodycount rather than Objective.
Bodycount Rulesch :)

So don' t remove it I say.

I hate when being shot in objective. I must say , its more realistic.

What i think, is tha tpeople need to choose between them, like:

I want to play realistic (objective)

or

I want to have much funnnnnn (bodycount :D)

btw. also objective can be fun :)

Ruben.
