It wouldnt bother me at all if they removed BC, even tho thats like all i play now unfortunately. Its really boring, but its something to do. If they remove it more servers will be OBJ :D . You got my vote.

Camping? I never had any real problems with campers, honestly.

As for bodycount, I really think it should stay. I like it because it allows me to try out all the weapons, and see how they perform at various ranges or with different strategies, as opposed to telling the poor pathetic noob with the bomb where to go and how to how to deploy it, acting as his babysitter the whole way.

I will admit that it is often boring, as the terrorists tend to get pushed back into spawn a lot of the time, but I regard it as more of an interactive firing range than a separate gametype. If it is going to stripped (which seems doubtful due to its popularity), we need a hell of a firing range map to take its place.

Personally, I feel that Bodycount (or a respawn mode) should stay in TCE while the Objective mode is in its current state (not perfected).

Once other gamemodes are added (and perfected), I really don't see a need for bodycount at all.

About campers.... they aren't a problem. I mean, if someone sits in one spot, you'll know where they are already. Hehe. IMO, an idle kick wouldn't kick campers as most of them move slightly to survey the area. Also, such a short time limit for a kick would most likely result in many unnecessary removals from the server.

For some of us older players with slower hand eye coordination, arthritis, a few to many brews in us, lol, camping is a valid, real life tactic. Deal with it, it's just a game. In a real gun fight I'd bet anything we would all find cover, fast.

im 16 also. I love owning old people.

The only thing they have on us is disipline. We (or, I) are wild, unpredictable, and very daring. But were fast, and learn fast, and also adapt fast. :P

Northport / bodycount / terrorist - was camping near insertion point until the end of round without getting killed gathering over 30 kills... I had to move only when I was out of ammo.
However I bet those SpecOps guys had a lot of fun...

To each his own but for me - no camping when playing for fun.

Camping is a valid, realistic tactic.

(In fact "camping" is the very nature of GOOD defense)

It's your server, you provide it, you can of course do what you like.

I've been know to lag for more than 15 seconds...

.... I'll lay money your a converted ET player.

"Can someone run over there and tell the Insergents to stop camping in that building?" ... "Ya sure I'll send the bradley over."

I hope that the updated maps and new ones will change the gameplay a lot... camping doesn't piss me off, but it is always "funny" when you put ur sights on and walk past ur enemy (who is waiting in his spot) and get shot... since the maps are that small the zoom-in thingy makes it more complicated than it could be.

My name is --16-- in the game, but I'm much much older *cough*(pass me the pill dear).

When I snipe, I tend to camp for the amount of time, in which I can surpress the enemy before it finds a way to take me down.

Judging camping to be a bad way to play the game isn't realy valid in TC:E. In this game, you are encouraged not to die like flies, you see. People who ran across my gunsight may have spent too little time considering why the game is as slow and difficult as it is.

Bad camping in which the sniper/shooter cannot be roused from his position is the the result of bad map design. If that isn't the case, you're not trying hard/smart enough.

In my opinion, that's why they put the knife in. Nothing better than seeing a guy jerk the mouse as you knife him... Personally, I find the more they camp, the more challenging it gets, and the more I have to work the tactical part of my brain. I view run-and-shoots like Quake or Halflife as checkers. Tac-sim games are more like chess, and in chess patience is essential.

Is there a way you can set up a perimeter on the maps around the spawns? So that you get a message, "X has entered the Terrorist Spawn." At least that way you know if Mr. n00b is waiting for you around the first turn. The other way to combat it is numbers. Use your teammates to attack a camper. One guy with a good spot is no match for a coherent 3-4 person field of fire. Communication is important when working with a team.
