actually, adding a new feature to a game already is going to create a whole new souce code.

go here and download the ET source code, see how long that is. Then imagine that plus TCE's current features (several 1000s of lines or 100s of Megabytes of text added) plus the features you wanted...

it isnt easy to make these games... even a simple pingpong game cant be done that easy.

the devs should push the limits on 0.49,
and it seems they are... pushing the limits.

I mean.... look at that, Holy shit! thats some friggen sick ass improvement,

the more the devs push the limits, the more new possibility's they will discover using the "WET engine"

and you know, someday in the future... people wouldnt even notice the devs using the "WET engine"
and there is a big chance that even "Activist" wont even reconise they're own game engine anymore, when they get the chance to see what the devs have done with the "WET engine",
because of all the limits that has been pushed by the devs.

if you look good, you see that evrything looks smooth and realistic,
but that red barrel ruin it all, it looks fake and not appropriate.

the blue barrel looks A bit fake too,
but not that as bad like that red barrel.

please devs, remove those fake barrels, or make it look more realistic.

I can see you're a person that dont care about the little things,
im not saying that its bad to only look at big things, and dont mind the small little details,

but.. there are people that actually care about the little tiny itsy bitsy things,

I personally always get stressed out about the smallest things,
like when I play A adventure game, and while passing all the levels and maps, suddenly some sort of invisible wall is blocking me,

even if it just blocks you 1 meter between you and the wall,
and even if you dont have to go to the direction that keeps blocking you,
and even if you just could forget about it and pretend that you never saw it,
it still keeps bothering me,
its kinda disappointing for some people,

imagine A online game, where you play on the same map the hole time,
with the wacky/unrealistic looking barrel on the map,

its gonna drive me crazy!!!

well that isnt what TCE for the moment. stop complaining, you should be grateful that the devs did something close to perfection. If you wait for like 10 more years, maybe youll see your dreams cometrue, or rather, why not play something newer and more graphically stunning than silly old TCE and its ancient engine called WET-Q3E.

Why not walk the walk if your going to talk the talk. The devs are trying their best make the most realistic, yet still playable First-person shooter they can. This is just a game, and it has limits in its realism, there is nothing more you can do about it in this era.

im not saying that the hole picture looks fake,
you need to read evrything i posted, it seems you just only read A couple of words

i only said the red barrel looks bit fake compared to all the other objects on the picture, and the blue one looks A bit fake too.

nobody is going to be looking at the barrels when the game starts. they are just there to make the place look filled and not empty.

when i first came on this forum, you seem very bright/inteligent/ and creative,

how could that be, I havent been to the main forums in months. You see, there are times when you do make some good suggestions or creative complains, but there are times when you just complain about little insignificant things (such as these barrels which are just eye candy for quick glances not staring at) and making several suggestions that have already ben discussed and dealt with. We keep trying to tell you, make changes in a game isnt like opening an HTML source code and editing. Once a C++ source code is compiled, you cant decompile it that easily, you always have to ahve a back up copy that would noramally have more than a 100M lines of code.

The thing is, I still cant wait for .49, I want too see it roll out onto the servers and in the news from ET.com to Gamespy.com but having experienced trying to make games before and still am, I have to say the devs are working hard and I know what kind of pressure that is. So for now, I will just sit back and wait (like I say before you got here, no really, I tell peopel to sit back and wait patiently).

so the problem is...

someone told you to stop agreeing with me, even if you agree personally

someone told you bad stuff about me that isnt completely true

someone told you to "shut the *i-need-a-broader-vocab* up" on the forum, so 0.49 will available ASAP.,

OH AND DEVS.., keep going you guys doing a good job, there is no need to rush the time devs... seriously, i dont mind waiting 6 or 9 months,
i still can play different games, i got more than 60 ps2 games,
im never bored.

how many times did I told you that if you care about little details, you will see that some suggestion i suggested is actually far way different than the suggestion thats almost similar, and that have been posted before.

but if you look at big things you wont see the difference,

and thats why, looking and small little things is important.

now who said some one talked to me. there is noone doing that in forums. Nobody does that especially in these 2 forums. If thats what you feel there's nothing I can do about it. All I know is we are all here to support TT and there game TCE. lets stop this bickering, enjoy TCE and show the devs our gratitude. They will tell us when its ready.

keep in mind that the most awesome games are usually developed more than 2 or 3 years,

and when the game is finally available after 2 or 3 years,
evryone will drool when they play the game,
and they will never forget that game.. never!!
because all the hard work and effort the developers have put into the game, is noticeable.
so its worth waiting

Like the first 3d zelda on N64,
the developers developed the game more than 3 years,
and still by this day, its still kind of amazing,
because it whas kind of "revolutionary".

and thats how 0.49 should be too

you will see the developers are heading to that "revolutionary" direction

if you look at it and compare TCE to WET or even TC and Q3Arena, you could already say that TCE is revolutionary. TT has improved to engine alot and they still are. It may not be as noticeable as something 2D turned 3D but there still are alot of improvements that mostly only people who had experienced developing for all these games (mappers and modders).
