If you want to see a really neat and helpful English Dictionary, track down a copy of The Oxford English Dictionary; it has the definition, lexicography, down to the first historical use of every known word in the English language -- and is very easy/fun to use and read.

I don't normally encourage people to acquire things by illicit means, but for learning and education I'll make an exception and say that digital versions of the OED are widely warzed, and if you want good command of English (which is a very messed up language) the OED is more helpful then most Dictionaries.
