Skillet - "Whispers in the Dark"

gotta love that intro! It starts off kinda bland.... then BOOM! kicks into a stellar guitar riff duet that keeps me running it back to the beginning over and over again.

makes me think of the 1812 overture. 12 minutes of boring, the last 2 are pure awesome.

So did you listen to the song, or do you mean the way I described it reminds you of that?

oh yeah, ahem.....

Fort Minor - "There They Go"

Oh no!
Close the do!
Shut the lights and start the show
Better let everybody know,
get on the mike, and there they go!

Andrew Lloyd Webber - Jesus Christ Superstar

changing to

Cutting Crew - I Just Died in Your Arms

if this song wasn't from the 80's, it would probably be as emo as emo gets. band's name, song's name, song lyrics....

but it's got 80's hair rock, so it's not.

I keep looking for something I can't get
Broken hearts lie all around me,
and I don't see an easy way out of this
Her diary, it sits on the bedside table
The curtains are closed, the cat's in the cradle
Who would've thought that a boy like me could come to this.
CHORUS: Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been something you said,
I just died in your arms tonight
Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been some kind of kiss
I should've walked away, I should've walked away.
Is there any just cause for feeling like this
On the surface I'm a name on a list
I try to be discreet, but then blow it again.
I've lost and found, it's my final mistake.
She's loving by proxy, no give and all take
'Cause I've been thrilled to fantasy one too many times.
CHORUS
It was a long hot night
She made it easy, she made it feel right
But now it's over, the moment is gone
I followed my hands, not my head,
I know I was wrong.
CHORUS

I'm listening to it again.

Afterwards, I'm going to listen to (and delete) a bunch of old crappy goa trance.
