I'm board, so...
What are your favorite type of movies, list some of your favorites, and if you feel, elaborate a little.
I like horror suspense, and not hack and slash horrors movies.
My favorites are The Grudge, both of them, as well as The ring. I have watched the original Japaneses versions as well and enjoyed them; and I'm waiting for the third one to be released. A few other movies I like are Voices of a Distant Star, Place Promised in Our Early Days, Debbie Does Dallas, and Audition.
I've been watching movies like Halloween, Freddy, Jason and what not, and I can see whats going to happen next in most slasher horror movies now, which takes the fun out. However, horror suspense has me guessing on a few things that may happen next, which keeps things interesting.

garden state <--- very inspiring
and i like porn's from the 70's, back then they had much better acting skills they made things more immersive, but the porn from nowadays r crap, bad acting and fake sh1t.

I enjoy some ass-kickers every now and then, but I mostly like watching comedies. I prefer SMART comedy, comedy that is multi-layered and keeps things fresh and continually funny (a little random humor thrown in for good measure doesn't hurt either). Examples of this are sitcoms like Arrested Development and Two-and-A-Half Men.
This is why I'm so interested in the new movie coming out the 20th called "Hot Fuzz".
It looks to be one of those smart (with just a dash of dumb) comedies (plus it's an all British cast, British humor in general hits me the right way, aside from the outrageously-stupid ones they have every once in a while).
I already have a favorite scene (from the theatrical trailer).....
fat cop: Have you ever fired 2 guns whilst jumping through the air?
cool cop: no....
fat cop: Have you ever fired 1 gun wilst jumping through the air?
cool cop: NO!

Arrested Development is one of the best comedies out there, and I am not very fond of oblivious comedies and its funny because its controversial comedies (Despise south park). Stranger than Fiction is one of the few comedies that I've liked recently, though it's hardly a comedy.

My tastes are pretty wide. If it's been done well, chances are I'll like it. I'm not really terribly picky.
For humor, my sense of humor leans towards slapstick. I'm rather fond of the Three Stooges, the Naked Gun series, and especially Hot Shots: Part Deux. And although not slapstick, I get more enjoyment out of Kung Pow: Enter the Fist than perhaps should be legal.
Arrested Developement was alright, I guess. I didn't find it anything more than mildly amusing, although that's more than I can say of most of Fox's programming. Too bad they cancelled it so quickly.

I"m a comedy guy. I like a good laugh. that or adventure/war ones.
I need to get The Dirty Dozen, The Longest Day, and the new Indiana Jones when it comes out.
Random fact: In the Longest Day, the guy who plays the britich CO at Pegasus Bridge actually fought there, though he was not the captain (or was it colonel )
