Post subject: | multiplayer lag problem, please help |
I recently reinstalled WET & TCE, I'm haveing a lag problem, every five seconds like clockwork my screen freeze's, and I notice on the lag o meter that the green is interupted at the time of the freeze, the game plays fine otherwise, my ping is steady, my fps is good, 80-90 This happens on any server I'm on, I play Urban Terror and do not have this problem, just TCE, I have yet to try WET though? |

try to disable PB, see if it is gone. this way you can eliminate some possibilities. |

http://www.truecombatelite.com/forums/v ... php?t=2022 Not totally PB problem (should only effect after connecting, then clear). This is hardware/software problem. Do you have Dual-Core CPU? and What Vid card do you own? I had same problem but fixed mine by downgrading my drivers. Drivers that were released when you're card was released, are generally better for ET. However, when I first connect to a server, it will still dip for a few minutes, then it will smooth out. |

Ok from watching the lag-o-meter, it does happen when I first connect, and smoothes out after a minute or so, plays good for awhile then comes back, now I was getting kicked be PB, but I went to the PB folder, ran the update from there, and I dont get kicked anymore, but I still have the lag problem. I tried going back to old drivers, no effect. |

Under nVidia? |

The slower your CPU, the more you will notice. Other software might try and take some process (anti-virus,etc). You might have to try a few sets of drivers. All else fails, if you have Dual Core, set the affinity every time you run the game (task manager), set it to CPU1 (cpu 0 is most windoze processes). |

No it's a Radeon X700, I used to play this game alot, but this lag\freeze sucks, does anyone know what all I can turn off, and leave TCE & my cable connection running? |
