Post subject: | Win 7 - Crashes while playing. |
Hello, I've been running Win 7 Ultimate. TCE (as admin, win xp sp 3 compatibility) seems to crash randomly (usually within 5 minutes) freezing up my whole computer. I thought this could be heat issues, but I can play cod 4 for hours without having issues. I can't find any crashlogs or logs at all of what could be happening... Linkage for DxDiag Any ideas ? EDIT: fixed url |

when u start tce type /logfile 2 (it'll create an etconsole.log within the tcetest folder). seems like a weird problem, i'd recommend to close as many unimportant processes/services as possible, just to rule out a conflict with other software/services. u might also wanna try to connect to a server with punkbuster being disabled to check if pb is maybe causing the crash /connect 212.80.82.1:31000 (mostly empty) or /connect 113.151.8.227:27960 (japanese ctf server) post the log and result of testing the non-pb servers(for at least 10 mins) /ur link isnt working btw ( - Unknown paste ID, it may have expired or been deleted!) |

You don't really have to run the game in compat mode. Just a thought. |

Hi again, Ok, I'll try that empty server and console log generation. I can re-upload the dxdiag albeit, there's not much that can be debugged over there... linkage rapidshare download About the compat mode, I put it on after it crashed the first time (thought that could debug it), but apparently it didn't fix the error... The first time it crashed I had an mmo running in the background (eve), the following times it crashed straight out of boot. Thanks for your replies, I'll get a log and check if there's anything abnormal about it. |
