just start a server on sandtrand, or join a server with the official maps on. (moved to general support) |

stadtrand is an official .49 map, if you havent seen it yet, i dont think ur playing .49....are u joining servers where the map says obj_something (.49) or dem_something(.48 )? |

he just installed the wrong one. an honest mistake. if he didn't uninstall .48 and did .49 he'd get "invalid pak files" errors. |

Generaly the cause of the problem is a big miscommunication between the consumers and the developers. In the next patch, they should supply an actual list of all the official maps, and all the 049 files included with the isntallation. Chances are, some people may still have old files and trash from 048 and from other possible sources like servers mistakenly running dem_ maps. |

thats a good point. why not distinguish the third party map files and the official map files in different file maps each. |

Not just maps, I mean every file included in the mod - they should have different names from the old version 048 and they should all be listed so that they are easy to tell apart from old files which will then be safely deleted. |
