For some reason, TC:E doesn't support aoss, so when im on teamspeak with my clan i can't hear anything in TC:E. Is there another method to fixing it other than using aoss? Distro: ubuntu edgy eft Soundcard: Intel intergrated (dell  )

to be honest, I don't know. it might be an incompatability with the whole os/soundcard/ts/TC:E thing. also, dunb question, but I feel obligated to ask it, does sound work without teamspeak on? |

Yes, i can use teamspeak in other games, just not TC:E.

I had the same problem. It is a Problem with ET. You must write as root in a console echo "et.x86 0 0 direct" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/oss; echo "et.x86 0 0 disable" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0c/oss Then you can start teamspeak and tc-e and both works together. When you have problems look in a rtcw or et forum you find a lot of links to this problem. I have a Gentoo Linux and I have this line wrote in /etc/conf.d/local.start and when my system boot this line works always. I start my TCE in a console with tc-elite and Teamspeak with TeamSpeak and I have no problems. You can look in a ubuntu forum where you can write this line when /etc/conf.d not exist in your ubuntu system. mfg rudi |
